 In /etc/pcmcia/config.opts
IRQ 3 and IRQ 4 must be excluded, to avoid PCMCIA cards loaded before IRDA starting to share any interrupt.
Start with
 irattach /dev/ttyS1

Some installation problems, because the display has only 256 colors, so only web-safe colors are valid.
Will be fixed in xkbd-0.8. Now available in CVS
